Nancy is an Attorney and Counselor at law and has focused her practice on estate planning and probate law for over 20 years. She received her B.A. in English from the Indiana University in 1971 and her J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1981, where she was a member of the Editorial Board for the University of Dayton Law Review. Nancy is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Dayton Bar Association, and the Christian Legal Society. Nancy has served as Chairperson of the Dayton Bar Association's Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Law Committee and President of the Dayton Trust and Estate Planning Group.
Nancy is proud to be board-certified by the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) as a specialist in the area of Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Law, which means that she is one of a select group of attorneys in Ohio who have met the stringent criteria required to earn the recognition as a OSBA Board Certified Specialist.
Nancy's interest in the fields of estate planning and probate law grew out of her experience of being widowed at the age of 27 when her daughter was two years old. Being widowed at such a young age made Nancy realize that one can never be too young to prepare for death. Nancy has since remarried to Bob Roberson, and her daughter shares her passion while working with her in the firm.
Nancy serves on several non-profit boards and cofounded and cofacilitates the Young Widows' Support Group. In addition, Nancy is actively involved with her church and her family's common interest of basketball.
Nancy has presented the "Are You Prepared?" seminar for years and coauthored the estate planning workbook, Solutions, in 1994 with Pam Walker. Beginning in the spring of 2010, Nancy will be a contributing editor for Living With Loss magazine. Her column will be titled, "You Don't Know What You Don't Know".
